At 6’3 shopping for clothes is always a challenge, but thankfully a few more brands offer clothing for tall women these days. There is still a long way to go, and I would LOVE to see even more brands hopping on the tall train, expanding their market, and bringing us tall women even more stylish options.
Now that winter has arrived that means no more short pants rolled up to look like capris, yes I’m guilty of this. No more tops that show a little belly button when you raise your hand, and no more long-sleeved shirts that actually fit like 3/4 sleeves. All these items should be thrown to the back of the closet this time of year.
Winters are cold for many of us, and that means covering up as much as much as we can, but of course looking stylish in the process. Here are a few items to keep you tall women warm and looking great this winter – clothing for tall women, fashion to survive the winter.
DRESSES & SHAWLS
Long Tall Sally – Cocoon Sweater Dress This warm sweater dress is super warm, but it fits big so you’d need to size down a size or two.
Textured Wrap – Add instant style with this throw-over wrap. This versatile piece can be worn in so many ways, throw it over your shoulder for those cool nights, wrap it around and tie it with a belt and rock it as a sweater, or use it as a scarf.
COATS & JACKETS
J.Crew – Rhodes Blazer Slim and tailored with a gold button finish. This beautiful blazer goes beyond winter, it is an investment piece you can wear year round.
Long Elegant Legs – Boyfriend Knit Jacket Accented with a feminine shawl collar, this jacket hugs the body creating a flattering fit.
Long Tall Sally – Point Zero Bomber Jacket With a removable faux fur inside collar and hood, this is a great jacket to face the cold as its super warm.
Lands End – Luxe Wool Parka Simple and chic. It runs small so you might need to order a size up.
Steve Madden Princess Funnel Coat Comfortable and figure flattering, this is a great casual coat.
PANTS & LEGGINGS
Top Shop – Ankle Leggings I own two pairs of these and have had them for years. The quality for the price is awesome.
Gap – 1969 Resolution Pull-on Jeans Comfort, comfort, comfort, I don’t own a pair but they look so comfortable.
New York & Company – Soho Jeans Great fit jeans that are true to size.
Long Tall Sally – Star leather high boots I love these boots because they are versatile, can be worn with opaques and high hemlines or a classic skinny jean.
Nordstrom – “Serrano” Stretch Bootie This sleek ankle boot that will instantly elevate your style, so cute.
