GO GREEN

The world has a fixed amount of natural resources – some of which are already depleted. I intend to leave my children and grandchildren with the same standard of living I enjoyed growing up. But in order for this to happen WE must preserve our environment. We save for cars, homes, and college educations, but what about saving clean air, water, and fuel sources for future generations? Go green and do your part.

FACT is the more we throw away, the more space we take up in landfills. And when those landfills become full, taxpayers have to build new ones. That means more $$$ out of our pockets. But, if we throw away less by recycling, reducing and reusing, the longer the landfills will last. This translates to keeping $$$ in my pockets in addition to the more important benefit of preserving the earth and natural resources.

As players we go out into the community, and some events stand out more than others. Today was one of those days because I know we did our part for the future. By planting trees and picking up trash with the youth of our community the Fever educated a number of kids on the importance of the 3 R’s. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, we talked about it, AND now WE ALL need to practice it. We need a cleaner world. Let’s ALL do our part!

  1. Tammy,

Had a blast with you and your teammates at Douglas Park on Tuesday. You guys did a great job educating the kids on how they can be greener. In addition to basketball skills, you have planting skills:-) Thanks for helping CICS promote a greener environment. Hope you can check out the jazz concerts at Eagle Creek Park. Here is the jazz concert schedule
