Green Juice Recipe to Get Rid of Belly Fat

Get Rid of Belly Fat

I use this green juice recipe to get rid of belly fat when I find my midsection slightly increasing. An added benefit of this drink is clearer skin, and who doesn’t want clear skin :)

I use the NutriBullet to make my drink, I absolutely love this appliance as it does not take up much counter space and its super easy to use – a winning combination in my book. The NutriBullet is a blender, not a juicer and the reason I prefer it for my green juice recipe to get rid of belly fat, is because I know that everything I throw into the NutriBullet is going to end up in my stomach :) Don’t get me wrong I like juicers, and do drink cold-pressed juices at times, but I have found what works best for me is blending, because I get to keep all the rubbish in my drink :)

Here is my green juice recipe to get rid of belly fat:

1/2 lemon ( lemons are diuretic, they are one of the most alkalizing foods for the body )    1 or 2 leaves of collard greens ( Collard greens contain a large amount of calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese, and folate. When eaten in a raw state, they help to detoxify the body )
1 or 2 leaves of kale (  Kale contains fiber to help kick your digestive system into gear and keep you regular )
1/4 cucumber ( Cucumbers works like a diuretic, which not only helps you to lose fat cells, but water weight as well )
1 table spoon of chia seeds ( Chia seeds contain large amounts of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, plenty of high-quality protein, and several essential minerals and antioxidants )
1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed ( flaxseed is known for its healthy fat and high fiber content, it also keeps you full and may prevent overeating )
small handful of parsley ( Parsley leaves are loaded with antioxidants and is a natural diuretic )

thumb-size piece ginger ( Ginger can act as a fat burner, specifically helping to make sure that the weight you’re losing is from fat, and not just general weight or water loss )
handful of spinach ( Spinach can curb food cravings according to scientists at Lund University in Sweden )

I don’t use any fruits in this drink because fruits contain sugar and sugar is the most efficient energy source for the body. Once you run out of sugar (or the form that humans store it in, glycogen) the body taps into other fuel sources – fat storage, YES!

I listed the ingredients in the order that I put them into my NutriBullet. *Please wash your veggies before placing them in the blender :)

1. Squeeze your lemon into your blender. This is the first step because if any seeds end up in your blender you can easily scoop them out.
2. Add you collard greens leaves ( I have found using 1 big leaf makes the drink less thick, but the number of leaves is up to you )
3. Add your kale leaves
4. Cut your cucumber into slices to cut blending time
5. Add your chia seeds
6. Add your parsley

7. Cut up your ginger into small cubes
8. Top off your pile with your spinach
9. Add water ( I fill my NutriBullet to the top with water, but you can add as much or as little as you want )

That’s it! Blend and gulp down. I will not guarantee taste as it’s not the best tasting drink, but it does work. All these ingredients blended together can get you the results you want, of course adding exercise to the mix will get you faster results.
